Brendan Taylor's closest miss is unfortunate : Lalchand Rajput

Zimbabwe's wicket-keeper batsman Brendan Taylor, who has announced his retirement recently is incidentally at the top of the list of the players who came close to the 10,000 international career runs but could not cross the landmark figure.
The list includes :
9938 - Brendan Taylor

9934 - Paul Collingwood

9879 - Ijaz Ahmed

9872 - Damien Martyn

9699 - Dean Jones

"Brendan Taylor is / was the great ambassador for Zimbabwe cricket", says his Zimbabwe's Indian head coach Lalchand Rajput.
"Playing 17 years itself is a big task and with hard work and dedication he has achieved so far".
"It's unfortunate that he couldn't cross the 10,000 career runs but it was really nice working with him. My best wishes for his second innings whatever he chooses to do.I wish you good luck BT".
